Financial service disclosure
MYB Cash operates as a financial technology platform and is not a bank. Wallet balances are not deposits with a regulated bank and may not be covered by deposit insurance schemes such as the Ghana Deposit Protection Corporation. Cryptocurrency services are provided for portfolio tracking and trading where available and do not constitute investment advice or a securities brokerage service. Users should understand the risks associated with holding and transacting in digital assets.
Risk disclosures for cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrency trading and holding involve significant risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The value of cryptocurrencies can be extremely volatile, and you may lose all or part of your investment. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Cryptocurrency holdings are not insured by any government or financial institution. You should carefully consider whether trading or holding cryptocurrency is appropriate for you in light of your financial circumstances, investment experience, and risk tolerance.
Mobile money and payment disclosures
Mobile money transactions are processed through licensed mobile money operators and partner networks. Transaction completion depends on network availability and operator confirmation. MYB Cash acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for delays caused by mobile network operators, banks, or other third-party providers. Funds transferred through mobile money are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective mobile money service provider.
Foreign exchange disclosures
MYB Cash may provide currency conversion services where applicable. Exchange rates may differ from mid-market rates and include a spread or margin. Conversion fees may apply to foreign exchange transactions. Rates are subject to market fluctuations and may change without notice. You agree to the applicable rate and any associated fees at the time of the transaction.
Insurance and deposit protection
Funds held in MYB Cash wallets are not covered by the Ghana Deposit Protection Corporation or any equivalent deposit insurance scheme in other jurisdictions. MYB Cash maintains appropriate safeguards to protect customer funds, including segregation of customer funds where applicable, but these protections are not equivalent to bank deposit insurance. Cryptocurrency holdings are not covered by any insurance.
Regulatory status
MYB Cash operates in compliance with the financial regulations of Ghana, including the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930), the Payment Systems and Services Act, 2019 (Act 987), and the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2020 (Act 1044). MYB Cash is registered with the relevant regulatory authorities in Ghana and complies with all applicable reporting and licensing requirements. Service availability may vary by jurisdiction.
Electronic communications
By using MYB Cash, you consent to receive electronic communications including transaction confirmations, security alerts, promotional messages, and policy updates. These communications may be sent via email, SMS, push notifications, or in-app messages. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time through your account settings or by following the unsubscribe instructions in any marketing communication.
Data retention
MYB Cash retains customer data, transaction records, and communications for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods are determined by applicable laws and regulations in Ghana and other jurisdictions where services are offered. Customers may request access to their data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
All trademarks, logos, trade names, and intellectual property contained in or associated with MYB Cash are the property of MYB Cash or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any MYB Cash intellectual property without prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by these terms or as required by law.
Limitation of liability
MYB Cash is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the service. Financial losses resulting from cryptocurrency market volatility, blockchain network congestion, or third-party provider failures are not the responsibility of MYB Cash. Users bear the sole risk of their financial decisions and transactions.
